> Lessonwell Studio accepts design brief requests through this website. Project agreements may include additional confidentiality terms for client materials and unreleased product screens.

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how LESSONWELL STUDIO LLC (“Lessonwell Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit our website, send a design brief, communicate with us, or engage us for project work.

It applies to this website and to information we receive in connection with our UI/UX and digital product design services. It does not govern third-party websites or platforms you reach through links, nor the products you build with the designs we deliver.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the brief form or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, company or product name, preferred contact method, project focus, and the message you write.

  • Project materials: briefs, screenshots, prototypes, research notes, analytics exports, brand references, and access links you choose to share.
  • Business records: quotes, statements of work, invoices, payment status, and correspondence about a project.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps recorded by our hosting provider and server logs.

Payment card details are handled by the payment provider named on the invoice and are not stored by Lessonwell Studio. Please do not place passwords, payment credentials, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information in the website form or in shared design files.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • respond to inquiries, schedule scoping conversations, and prepare quotes;
  • deliver the agreed research, wireframes, interface design, design systems, audits, or handoff packs;
  • send project communications, feedback requests, and delivery notices;
  • issue invoices, process payments, and keep business and tax records;
  • protect the website against spam, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • comply with law and enforce our agreements.

Our legal basis, where such a concept applies, is our legitimate interest in running the studio, performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it.

Client materials and confidentiality

Screens, research data, source files, and unreleased product information that you share remain yours. We use them only to perform the agreed work, and we limit access to people who need them for the project.

We do not use client materials to train our own public templates, publish them in a portfolio, or discuss them with third parties without your written permission. When a project ends we will return or delete working copies on request, subject to the retention period below and any records we must keep by law.

If participant interviews are part of a research engagement, we ask you to confirm that participants have consented to the research and to any recording or note-taking. We handle participant details only as needed to complete the synthesis.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

  • service providers that host the website, deliver email, store files, or run design and collaboration tools on our behalf;
  • payment processors and accounting providers, to the extent needed to bill you;
  • professional advisors such as accountants or attorneys, under confidentiality duties; and
  • authorities or other parties where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

If Lessonwell Studio is ever involved in a merger, sale, or reorganization, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses a small number of cookies and local storage features described in our Cookie Policy. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Retention and security

We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period. Project files and business records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterward as needed for support questions, tax and accounting rules, and dispute resolution, typically up to seven years for financial records and up to two years for working files unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to a small studio, including access controls and reputable hosting and file-sharing providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you, and you may object to or ask us to limit certain uses. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. Some information must be kept to meet legal or contractual obligations.

You may opt out of non-essential email at any time by replying with “unsubscribe” or using the link where provided. Transactional messages about an active project will continue until the work ends.

Residents of some states may have additional rights under local privacy law. If you believe those rights apply, tell us in your request and we will handle it in line with applicable law.

Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors and transfers

Lessonwell Studio operates from the United States, and information may be processed and stored on servers located in the United States or in other countries where our providers operate. By using the website from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be handled under U.S. law and this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
